Description:
A version of the game "Snake" using text as graphics. Eat food to increase the length of your snake, but be careful not to crash!
I programmed a version of the game "Snake". In this game, the player controls a snake that must eat as many pieces of food as possible. Every time you eat a piece of food, the snake becomes longer and accelerates. The player must avoid crashing into a wall or their tail.
I included a few different modes to make the game more interesting.
Normal Mode- Every "0" you eat will increase the length and speed of your snake. Eat as much as you can!
Letter Mode- The food will now be random letters that will be added to your tail.
Rainbow Mode- Just like Normal Mode, but with more flashing colors.
Hyperspeed Mode- Why play with a steadily increasing speed when you could start and end with the same ridiculously fast speed?
Small Arena Mode- Small Arena Mode gives you less room to maneuver, but a slower non-increasing speed will allow you more time to plan.
I used the EZRL "Easy Rouge-Like Library" with SDL to program this game in C++. My game did not end up being a Rouge-Like, but EZRL still worked well for me.

In this version I fixed the issue of the player being able to back onto himself and die. This version was uploaded on 4/11 so it does not qualify for the competition (unless Moosader is okay with it).
